What makes buying a pony from iSpyaGypsy and the odd Donkey a really good experience for our customers?
We offer a unique opportunity for you to 'hold' one of our ponies with a non-refundable 10% deposit and an agreed payment plan over the duration your pony is with us. Payment for your pony must be in full before the pony leaves the property.
There are a number of options for you to choose from with a ranging purchase price. When a pony is available, they will be listed on the ponies for sale tab. Included in the listing will be options priced at taking your pony straight away or continuing their education to a point where you are confident in carrying their learning on. If you would like your pony to stay on and continue their education through to being backed, we are happy to discuss this with you.
What can these ponies do?
The sky is the limit with these versatile Gypsy Cobs ...so far we have the pony club all rounder who is also cart trained (the unflappable pony) the 'stock' horse in training (who will be used on a high country farm) general handling and manners, liberty basics and intro to cart (ready for the new owner to continue their education and back themselves)... we can hand them over at 18 months well mannered and all the basics of liberty buttons installed! Back them at 3 years! Train them to cart! These ponies would make great CTR rides too! You are only limited by your own imagination!!!
Once someone has picked out their perfect pony, what happens next? Can you walk us through the process until their new mate heads home?
Once you have selected which purchase option you would like on your chosen pony, we have a simple contract stating all of the agreed terms. Once the non-refundable deposit is paid, then the pony is 'held'. You can, of course, visit your pony during their education journey by arrangement. The pony will continue their education on the basis of what 'we' determine to be age-appropriate training. We do not profess to be qualified horse trainers, but we do profess to have lived and breathed ponies and horses for a lifetime and know what is needed to develop a great, unflappable pony!
What other costs are involved if my pony stays on for further education?
If your pony is staying on for further education, they must be fully insured to stay on the property. (This is at your cost) Previous pony purchasers have used both Pet-n-Sure and FMG.
There are no other costs ! If we have agreed on a price for your pony then that's it. No grazing costs!!! I will take care of their drenching and hooves until they are on their way to their new home.
What kind of help or advice do you offer people once they've taken their new pony home?
Get straight into it! Don't let a rainy, windy day interfere with anything! Enjoy! BUT remember your pony will be 'green'; they are young and will require patience, and most importantly, be their 'leader!' What you say goes, not what they feel like doing or not!
